What Christie thinks about Romney's Tax Return

Governer Christie is being interviewed; he is a supporter of Romney's campaign. Christie talks about his plan for New Jersey to lower their tax cut. He says that everybody will benefit with his new tax cut of 10%. The interviewers compliment Christie's plan, saying that he sounds very presidential. There was a poll asking New Jersey if it is likely/unlikely for him to be the next VP. 55% says that he is likely and 68% says he is not. Christie's reaction with Romney's tax return is that he should release them as soon as he can. 

Gingrich is the Alpha Dog

Theres a recap of last night's debate of what Gingrich says after hes been asked about his "open marriage". Gingrich emphasizes how disgusted he is that they would open a debate with a question like that. They are talking to Chuck Todd and he thinks that Gingrich has been the Alpha dog this week. They believe that Gingrich stole the show with his response to the marriage question. They tell us that Gingrich leads the GOP in South Carolina with 34% support. They also reveal that Gingrich is 6 points ahead of Romney after the Southern Debate.

Chuck Todd is talking to Ann about the Southern Debate that occurred last night. He says that he thought Romney was going to be undefeated with a 3-0 score but now, Santorum and Gingrich is in his vicinity. Either three of them can win. The next debate is Monday night. Chuck Todd says that Florida is Romney's strong state. Then they talk about Gingrich's marriages. They question if he satisfy the evangelicals enough talking about his affairs. Then they talk about Romney's tax returns. They comment on his attitude about putting his tax returns in public. Chuck thinks that he might have something to hide.

Romney's "dirty" Campaign

Gingrich says that Romney's campaign will be dirty and desperate for the next four days. Then Romney speaks about how disappointed he is that one of his opponents are attacking free enterprise. He says that the government doesn't create jobs, the private sector creates them. Gingrich says that conservatives can take down Romney if they come together. David Corn says that the alternative for Romney might be Gingrich.

Interviewer, Ann, says that Santorum is the real winner of the Iowa Caucus. Then she asks why should he be the alternative to Romney and not Santorum. Gingrich says that he is 2 points ahead of Romney. He says that he is a conservative vote. He mentions the new ads that came out that are attacking Romney. He says that when conservatives that are not liberal try to help the poor, it shouts racism. He says that he said the same thing at the Georgia Republican Convention and other places. He says that Obama has put more people in food stamps than anyone else. Ann asks him if his ex-wife can say anything that will throw him under the bus and he said that he is not going to say anything negative about her.

New Hampshire Results

Jon Stewart tells us the results of New Hampshire's primary election. Mitt Romney wins with 39.3% of the votes. Ron Paul came in second and Jon Huntsman, third. He tells us that Romney was introduced by his wife Ann, and she hasn't endorsed a candidate yet. Theres a clip of Romney's victory speech and he talks about what Obama promised when he was in New Hampshire 4 years ago. Obama promised to bring people together and improve our nation. Jon calls him a jerk for making lofty promises. Jon Huntsman moved to New Hampshire for a year and he still came in 3rd. Stewart says that 3rd place is a ticket to ride HOME. Since Huntsman spoke mandarin in one of the debates, Stewarts says "Even Napoleon at Waterloo came in second" in mandarin.
